When paintings enhance the works of an art moulder\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cartel :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The theme chosen for this year\u2019s European Artistic Crafts Days was highly inspiring for the painter Judith Willame and myself. As we had previously done for my exhibition \u00ab\u00a0Lignes de Vies\u00a0\u00bb (\u201cLife lines\u201d) \u2013 showing her own hands in the process of painting \u2013 and our joint exhibition at the Brussels South Charleroi Airport \u00ab\u00a0Voyages en Arts\u00a0\u00bb (\u201cTravelling through the arts\u201d), we decided to join hands \u2013our four hands – and work together again, following the European Artistic Crafts Days. Paintings enhance art mouldings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1- a first artistic communion occurred, enhancing my work \u00ab\u00a0La chiromancie au bout des doigts<\/strong> \u00bb (\u201cPalmistry at your fingertips\u201d) inspired by \u201cThe Fortune Teller\u201d by Caravaggio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2- a second painting enhances \u00ab\u00a0La Nef<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb (\u201cThe Nave\u201d), my latest work which pays homage to \u00ab La Cath\u00e9drale \u00bb (\u201cThe Cathedral\u201d) by Rodin, and also to the current \u201crebuilders\u201d of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3- a third work by Judith enhances \u00ab L\u2019Amour au bout des doigts<\/strong> \u00bb (\u201cLove at one\u2019s fingertips\u201d), inspired by emojis, and pays tribute to French sign language (Langue des Signes fran\u00e7aise \u2013 LSF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4- several paintings further enhance my work entitled \u00ab\u00a0index lumineux<\/strong> \u00bb (index whose tip is lit by a light-emitting diode), inspired by the painting \u201cThe Creation of Adam<\/strong>\u201d by Michelangelo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5- finally, several other paintings enhance my work entitled \u00ab Les yeux au bout des index<\/strong> \u00bb (\u201cEyes at one\u2019s fingertips\u201d, referring to reading using Braille) which pays tribute to Louis Braille and in which the non-profit organisation \u00ab Les doigts qui r\u00eavent \u00bb (\u201cFingers full of dreams\u201d) – 11 bis, rue des Novalles BP 93 21240 Talant) – took part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You may visit our exhibition by appointment.
